OUR WEDDING
Scott and Michelle worked together at the Relay Center for the Deaf in Riverbank after they graduated from high school (Michelle from Escalon High in 2004, and Scott from Riverbank High in 2005). However, it wasn’t until 2009, when a mutual friend pointed out that they worked together, that Scott and Michelle introduced themselves to each other and started talking.
A friendship blossomed between them over the next five years. They grew to love each other’s families and friends and were daily parts of each others’ lives. Finally, in November of 2013, Michelle and Scott admitted their true feelings for each other, and have been together, in love, ever since!
Over the past ten years of being together, they have finished college, established their careers, traveled/vacationed extensively, and have created a loving home.
On February 24, 2024, on Asilomar Beach in Pacific Grove, California…
Scott asked, and Michelle said, “YES!”
They had actually started planning their wedding around their tenth anniversary of dating. The proposal was the last step for their engagement to become “official.” Scott and Michelle set up a date for engagement photos, and Scott was able to surprise Michelle with her ring. The photos capture her genuine reaction to seeing her ring for the very first time! Some might say this was not the “traditional” way to become engaged, but Scott and Michelle have never been a “traditional” couple, and everything happened exactly as they wanted it to!
Michelle and Melissa have been friends since the beginning of middle school. They’ve been there for each other through all of life’s adventures! Melissa’s unwavering kindness, support, and friendship are qualities that make her a truly exceptional person and an amazing, dependable friend. Michelle is incredibly honored to have Melissa by her side as her Matron of Honor on the big day!
Michelle and Chelsea have known each other their entire lives! Their parents have always been great friends, and lived right around the corner from each other. Michelle can’t remember a time that Chelsea and her family haven’t been around, and she cherishes all the memories that our families have made over the years. Chelsea’s bubbly, loving personality, kindness, and generosity help make her the lovely person she is. Michelle is thrilled to have Chelsea standing beside her as one of her bridesmaids on the big day!
Michelle and Heather have known each other since kindergarten! They’ve been each other’s cheerleaders through all of life’s challenges, sorrows, and joys. They’ve also gone on lots of fun adventures together over the years– from seeing The Rolling Stones/Bob Dylan, to Disneyland, Las Vegas, and lots of other journeys over the years. Michelle is so excited to have Heather standing next to her as one of her bridesmaids on the big day!Â
Jen and Michelle became friends by chance, as Scott and Jen’s husband, Ken, are best friends. An unexpected, but absolutely wonderful friendship emerged and has blossomed over the years. Jen has proven to be a steadfast friend with a kind and giving heart, and Michelle cherishes having Jen in her life! Michelle is absolutely delighted to have Jen standing beside her as one of her bridesmaids on the big day!
